Shipping

Our shipping is complimentary to our customers via FedEx within the continental US. Your item will typically ship within 1-2 business days, and is insured through arrival. A customer service associate will contact you after your purchase to coordinate the shipping, as a signature will be required to confirm acceptance. For security purposes, we can only ship to the billing address. For orders that need to be delivered to a destination other than the billing address, we will confirm that your credit card or financing company has this alternate shipping address on file. Please note that we cannot ship to a P.O. Box.

The Estimated Arrival Date DOES NOT takes the following into account:

  • Delays in credit approval
  • Weather delays
  • Other shipping/vendor service issues

Appraisals

We are happy to provide an appraisal from Universal Gemological Laboratory (UGL) upon request. Please contact contact@takat.com for more information.

Returns

Returns are accepted within a 15 day window from the date of delivery. To return a piece, simply contact Takat to receive a Returned Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number to ensure proper handling of the return and/or replacement. Items cannot be returned without an RMA number.

Please mark the RMA number clearly on the shipping label. Include a copy of your original invoice.

All returns are subject to our inspection, and a full refund will only be offered if the piece is unworn and in brand new condition. We are not responsible for merchandise that is damaged in transit, so please package carefully.

International returns shipping and insurance are responsibility of the customer. Special Orders are non-refundable.

Payment

For your convenience, we offer the following payment methods:

Payment is currently accepted on our website via PayPal for orders up to $50,000.

Customers are also welcome to place orders over the phone at 855.RA.TAKAT (728.2528)

We accept all credit cards/Debit cards: American Express, Visa, and MasterCard.

Wire Transfer: Bank wire payments are accepted on all orders.

For items priced over $50,000, please call or email our office and a customer service representative will provide instructions on wire transfer.

We reserve the right to request additional payment verification. We reserve the right to cancel or refuse any order at any time based on our discretion.

Sales Tax

Currently, sales tax is only collected on orders shipped to addresses in New York, New Jersey and California

If you are shipping to addresses in New Jersey, New York and California, tax will be charged on the item price. Tax rates within counties vary.

Quality Assurance

Takat is extremely cautious in ensuring that each product strictly complies with our quality criteria and that it has passed all of our controls. If nevertheless you receive a product that seems to be damaged, you may return it to Takat in accordance with the return policy. Upon receipt, Takat may classify the returned product as a defective product. Please note that items that are damaged as a result of wear and tear are not considered to be defective.

If your product is declared as defective by Takat, the following solutions will be proposed to the customer, as applicable:

1. Takat may send you the same product in the exact same size, subject to availability,

2. Takat may propose an exchange for another Takat creation of equivalent or higher value, in which case the initial price will be deducted and you will be required to pay only the difference, or

3. The Customer may request a refund of the full price of the initial purchase.

Preferred Lifetime Warranty & Repairs

Any Preferred Jeweler will offer, at no charge:



1) RE-TIPPING OF PRONGS*, INSPECTION OF CHANNEL WORK AND SETTINGS:

Thorough inspection of all prongs, channel and setting work to assure none of the stones move in any way. Re-tipping is the process of adding small amounts of metal to the tip of each prong. Stones do not have to be removed.

*In the instances where Rhodium is required , a charge MAY be incurred. This is at the sole discretion of the Preferred Jeweler.

2) RE-SIZING: (Excluding Eternity bands)

When possible, a Preferred Jeweler will provide lifetime resizing of your ring. Some rings are not sizable, especially if there is a large size difference, a specialty design or there is micro pave.

Changing the size of a ring with micro pave is never recommended. If you re-size this type of ring it will be unrepairable as the stones will loosen and the integrity of the ring will never be the same.

3) TIGHTENING OF STONES:

Preferred recommends and requires that you come in to your Preferred retailer to have your items inspected every 6 months so that we can check for any loose stones and perform the necessary repairs.

4) REFINISHING AND POLISHING:

Any scratches and or scuffs will be polished. Some finishes can'’'t be restored especially specialty designer finishes.

Steam, ultrasonic cleaning and polishing machines are used to bring your jewelry to pristine condition.

*In the instances where Rhodium is required, a charge MAY be incurred. This is at the sole discretion of the Preferred Jeweler.

5) LOOSE EARRING BACKS:

Your earring backs will be repaired and or replaced if they are no longer secure.

6) PREFERRED JEWELERS will replace a diamond up to .20ctw at no additional charge to consumer.

7) FREE LIFETIME MAINTENANCE:

To keep your warranty valid you are required to visit your Preferred Jeweler every 6 months to have your items inspected and maintained. Your visit will be notated in the Preferred website data base. Customer and retailer will be notified by email 30 days before and again 14 days before "due date" inspection. Please ensure that we have a valid email address on file. Should there be a lapse in time and warranty has become invalid the retailer may then charge the customer to bring the item back into warrantable condition and then reinstate the warranty.
